Ukrainian defense forces captured almost 30 Russian soldiers in 3 days — General Tarnavskyi

Commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, stated this.

According to him, there were no air strikes in the Tavria sector on January 8. At the same time, the Russian troops launched 5 missile attacks, conducted 37 combat clashes and fired 452 artillery shells.

Russian army losses over the past day amounted to 375 people and 21 units of military equipment, namely 2 tanks, 5 armored personnel carriers, 1 artillery system, 9 UAVs, 2 vehicles and 1 unit of special equipment. 

Tarnavskyi added that Ukrainian defenders are holding the line and conducting active operations in the designated areas.

• In total, 67 combat clashes between Russian aggressors and Ukrainian defenders took place on the frontline over the past day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 58 Russian attacks and eliminated another 820 Russian terrorists.
