The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this.

In total, Russia launched 3 airstrikes and 16 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and localities over the last day.

"Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged," the General Staff emphasizes.

Frontline situation

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 20 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked.

  • In the Kupyansk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled two Russian attacks near Synkivka, Kharkiv region, where the Russian troops sought to break through the Ukrainian defense. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
  • In the Lyman sector, six enemy attacks were repelled in the vicinity of Makiivka, Luhansk region, and east of Terny, Donetsk region, where Russia was trying to improve its tactical position. More than 15 localities suffered from enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
  • In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled a Russian attack near Klishchiivka. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.
  • In the Avdiivka sector, 9 enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, as well as 16 more attacks in the areas of Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. About 15 localities came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
  • In the Marinka sector, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the Russian army in the areas of Heorhiivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. About 6 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.
  • In the Shakhtarsk sector, the Russian army did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.
  • In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two Russian attacks in the area west of Verbove, where the Russian troops unsuccessfully tried to regain lost ground. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
  • In the Kherson sector, about 8 localities were subjected to numerous Russian attacks.

"The enemy does not abandon its intention to drive Ukrainian units out of the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the day, the Russian army made three unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops, but our units continue to hold their positions and inflict significant losses on the invading army," the General Staff said.

Ukrainian military strikes against Russian troops

Over the day, Ukrainian aviation struck two manpower concentration areas.

Missile troops struck two Russian military positions, a command post, and a munitions depot.
