Ukraine's Security Service strikes 17 Russian systems worth $250 million
Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) struck 17 Russian air defense, electronic warfare and radar systems in less than a week, worth more than $250 million
The SBU reported this on its Telegram channel.
"To achieve such a striking result, the special forces of the SBU's Center for Special Operations A needed only 4 days. The total value of this equipment on the Russian domestic market alone reaches over $250 million USD, and for export — 2.5 times higher," the report says.
Specifically, the SBU struck:
- four TOR-M2 SAM systems;
- three Pantsir missile-gun systems;
- two S-300 SAM systems;
- one BUK-M3 SAM system;
- 50N6 radar (S-350);
- Kasta-2E2 radar;
- Podlyot radar;
- Zhitel electronic warfare system;
- Nebo-SVU radar;
- 55Zh6M Nebo-M radar complex.
The statement notes that as a result of these strikes, Russia is losing the ability to effectively track aerial targets and counter Ukrainian long-range drones.
"And without effective air defense and electronic warfare means, the invaders can expect new, striking hits deep in their rear," the SBU added.
On the night of August 19, SBU drones struck two Russian ammunition depots in the village of Bilokurakyne in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.
