
Ukraine reveals casualties for North Korean forces fighting for Russia in Kursk
Ukraine's General Staff reported losses for the North Korean contingent fighting for Russia. Over 12,000 North Korean troops have been involved, and approximately 4,000 casualties sustained
Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information.
Between March 11 and April 11, Russian forces launched a total of 5,124 attacks across frontline sectors. These included 130 assaults in the Kharkiv sector, 206 in the Kupiansk sector, 627 in Lyman, 149 in Siversk, 140 in Kramatorsk, 666 in Toretsk, 1,739 in Pokrovsk, 398 in Novopavlivka, 152 in Huliaipole, 179 in Orikhiv, 59 in Prydniprovskyi, and 679 in the Kursk sector.
During this period, Russia suffered the following losses: 42,511 personnel (including over 21,000 killed), 286 tanks, 721 armored fighting vehicles, 1,757 artillery systems, 50 MLRS, 29 air defense systems, 2,796 UAVs, 16 missiles, 3,684 vehicles, 24 units of special equipment, and 4 helicopters.
The Russian army has deployed units from the North Korean Armed Forces, comprising over 12,000 personnel, into combat operations. Since the start of the Kursk operation, the North Korean contingent has sustained approximately 4,000 casualties, including over 3,000 wounded. Had these forces been organized into brigades, one of the four hypothetical brigades was virtually destroyed, while the remaining three have lost their combat effectiveness.
- On April 11, Ukraine’s General Staff reported that over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 1,420 Russian soldiers along the frontline. The invading Russian army also lost a number of vehicles and 105 drones.
