Ukraine can produce 5 million FPV drones annually
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, over 150 FPV drone manufacturers have appeared in Ukraine. Nearly half of the weaponry on the frontlines is of Ukrainian production
This was reported by the President of Ukraine's advisor on strategic issues, Oleksandr Kamyshin, in a conversation with Serhiy Zhadan on The Parade on Red Square Scenario program on Radio Khartiya.
"We are essentially in the first world drone war," Kamyshin noted.
According to him, 85% of all fire strikes on the front are the result of drone operations.
Kamyshin also confirmed that, over the course of the invasion, Ukraine has outpaced Russia in drone production rates.
According to him, one domestic manufacturer is capable of producing 4,000 FPV drones per day.
"There are more than 150 manufacturers of FPV drones in the country," Kamyshin added.
He also noted that, potentially, Ukraine could produce 5 million FPV drones per year. Last year, due to a lack of funding, Ukrainian manufacturers produced more than 2 million units.
"We're getting closer to the point where half of what we're fighting with on the front is made in Ukraine," Kamyshin emphasized.
- It was previously reported that in 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to purchase 4.5 million FPV drones of Ukrainian production.
