Ukraine approves domestic Chief-1 drone for military use

Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported the information.

The Chief-1 drone is designed to engage enemy aircraft or personnel using a shotgun cartridge weapon module.

According to the Defense Ministry, Chief-1 features a lightweight and durable frame, powerful engines, high maneuverability, and a design optimized for aerial combat.

The drones are equipped with automatic target recognition systems and the ability to maintain an optimal distance for striking targets. They can fire in both manual and automatic modes. Chief-1 drones destroy enemy FPV drones, bombers, certain types of spotters, and reconnaissance units.

• Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Oleksandr Kozenko said that the Ukrainian defense industry has the capacity to produce 10 million different drones per year.
