Ukraine allocates land for Rheinmetall manufacturing plant
Ukraine has allocated land for the construction of a factory for the German defense corporation Rheinmetall, which will specialize in ammunition production
Armin Papperger, CEO of the German defense corporation, announced this in an interview with Ukrinform.
"Although the search for a suitable location had been delayed, land has now been allocated to us. However, further organizational and regulatory issues still need to be clarified. We are ready to begin construction of the facility as soon as possible," he said.
The head of the corporation emphasized that Rheinmetall is already fulfilling its commitments regarding the supply of equipment for the ammunition production plant.
"We are grateful that we can be such an important industrial partner for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in many areas, including artillery ammunition, infantry fighting vehicles, air defense systems, space reconnaissance, and mobile field hospitals – and these are just some of them," the CEO added.
As a reminder, Ukraine will receive its first German Lynx KF41 infantry fighting vehicles in early 2026.
