Berdyansk's military administration head Victoria Galitsyna reported this on June 6.
Yevhen Balytskyi, a Russian proxy leader operating in occupied Zaporizhzhia region, revealed this plan, proposing that these regions should be incorporated into the new federal district by the year's end.
Galitsyna suggests that it could be named Novorossiya, a term with significant meaning for Russians.
"These plans by the Russians highlight their attempt to legitimize aggression and tighten control over Ukrainian territories, potentially erasing Ukrainian identity and culture," added Galitsyna.
- On June 6, reports surfaced that Russians threatened residents of occupied Rubizhne with imprisonment for criticizing local "authorities."
