He shared this update on Espreso TV.

“The enemy is always digging in, and when they, unfortunately, advance, other units follow them, and immediately, in any direction - in Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kharkiv - they immediately build fortifications behind them so that if there are counteroffensives from our units, they already have at least some defensive lines to hold us back. So this is not new, they always do this, and we are watching, monitoring, reconnoitering and identifying their fortifications, firing points, weapons and so on,” he said.

Stanislav Sokolovskyi also spoke about the enemy's advantage in ammunition.

“The enemy has parity in that they have certain ammunition factories, so they will probably always have such parity until we establish a certain resource to supply all units. It's quite difficult for us because the enemy has identified our places where we can produce it, set it up and store it.

But they don't work like we do, we work very precisely and well, we conduct thorough reconnaissance of UAVs and destroy or damage the weapons so that they don't use them. If it's a damaged howitzer or mortar, it's already good, because it takes time and materials to repair a certain weapon, a barrel. The Russian army has fewer repair plants than they have for manufacturing ammunition, so damaging certain types of weapons is very much to our advantage. Our counter-battery actions always work, whether 152 caliber or 155 caliber, we respond to the enemy's actions timely and conduct counter-battery actions,” the military noted.

  • Since the beginning of the day, October 1, 74 combat engagements took place in the frontline, Russian terrorists are most actively advancing in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, Kupyansk and Lyman sectors.
