Russian troops afraid to move around Avdiivka even after capturing city - military expert Zgurets
Defense Express CEO and military expert Serhiy Zgurets noted that Ukrainian UAV operators continue to actively monitor the Russian military in Avdiivka
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The occupiers are afraid to move around Avdiivka because Ukrainian UAV operators continue to actively monitor the Russian military, which is carrying out so-called stabilization measures there. Currently, the situation for the Russians in this area is quite difficult. However, we understand that the enemy is trying to put further pressure on our defense line around Avdiivka. The enemy has indeed withdrawn some of its forces, but the actions near Ivanivske and other areas, with sufficient forces and means on our side, cause significant losses to the enemy. We need to understand that further combat actions will be quite difficult," noted Zgurets.
The military expert also added that the area around Marinka is the most difficult. 44 combat clashes took place there, and this is the peak number for a certain period of time.
"The enemy is hitting Kurakhove with guided aerial bombs. This indicates that the enemy is trying to scale up its tactics - destroying a settlement and then advancing," emphasized Zgurets.
- Ruslan Muzychuk, spokesman for the National Guard of Ukraine, said that the Russian army is actively attempting to storm the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.
- There were 101 combat clashes on the frontline over the last day. Ukrainian defense forces repelled attacks in 8 directions and eliminated 1,000 Russian soldiers.
