Russian troops abstain from heavy armor use for third consecutive day in Avdiivka direction — 59th Brigade officer

Officer of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, Serhiy Tsehotskyi, said that Russian occupying troops have been trying to attack Ukrainian positions without using equipment in the Avdiivka direction for the third day in a row

He shared the information on Espreso TV.

"The occupiers are constantly trying to advance. Every day they storm our positions in small groups. They are carrying out mostly infantry assaults. Heavy armored vehicles have not been used for attacks for three days in a row. This is due to the weather conditions and the fact that we managed to prepare minefields. We also managed to build defensive positions, which allows us to better deter the enemy," said Tsehotskyi.

According to the officer, Russian troops now resort to storming Ukrainian positions at night.

"They are constantly trying to advance to our positions. For the second time in the last week they attacked at night. They attack using outdated equipment. They are decommissioning equipment that has been stored for decades and turning three units into one. As for the infantry, nothing has changed. Groups of 4-5 occupiers go to assault, a senior is elected among them, and if the group does not capture the position, they are shot," he added.
