Russian Su-30SM aircraft likely crashes near Zmiinyi Island — Ukrainian Navy

The Ukrainian Navy reported the information.

“Using the reconnaissance assets of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, a radio intercept was obtained about the loss of communication with a Su-30SM aircraft of the Russian troops that was carrying out a mission southeast of Zmiinyi Island. The aircraft likely crashed for unknown reasons,” the statement says.

It is noted that the Russians are conducting a search and rescue operation. According to the Navy, aircraft debris was found on the sea surface, while the whereabouts of the pilots are unknown.
