Russia seeks ways to capture Kharkiv — local official
Kharkiv City Council member Artem Revchuk observes that Russia continues to probe for weaknesses in Ukraine's defense and remains committed to its plans to seize Kharkiv
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
“In fact, the Russians have not given up hope of capturing Kharkiv. They are looking for gaps they can exploit. In the north, they are unable to break through. The (Ukrainian - ed.) 92nd Brigade is firmly holding the defense in that area, and the 5th Slobozhanska Brigade is also holding its ground near Vovchansk. Overall, the situation is relatively stable here despite the pressure. However, in the Kupyansk direction, they (Russian troops - ed.) are managing to slip through somehow,” Revchuk noted.
According to the Kharkiv City Council member, the terrain in the Kupyansk sector occasionally works to Russia's advantage. The fields stretching from Kreminna to Kupyansk, along with forested areas, “meat assaults,” and heavy losses, help them infiltrate the area to achieve their objectives.
“According to the DeepState map, we can see that they have nearly reached the Oskil River near the Senkove crossing,” Revchuk added.
The DeepState OSINT project is an open-source intelligence (OSINT) initiative that focuses on tracking and analyzing information related to developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
- Since the beginning of the day on November 19, 130 combat clashes have taken place at the front. In the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions 59 times.
