Ukraine's General Staff: Russia loses tank, 16 artillery systems and 850 soldiers in one day of war

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to February 27, 2024, amounted to:

• personnel – about 411,550 (+850)
• tanks ‒ 6,556 (+1)
• armored fighting vehicles ‒ 12,494 (+16)
• artillery systems – 10,009 (+62)
• MLRS – 1,000
• air defense systems ‒ 686
• aircraft – 340
• helicopters – 325

Frontline update: almost 100 combat clashes take place in a day, Russian troops target the Marinka direction the most

According to the General Staff, near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 2 attacks near Ivanivka and Tabaivka, and another 20 attacks near Synkivka, Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukraine's soldiers repulsed 6 attacks near Terny, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces rebuffed 9 attacks near Ivanivske and Klishchiivka, Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukraine's defenders repelled 19 attacks near 5 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian army near Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. Here, the invading Russian troops tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops 25 times. Ukrainian defenders also repelled 8 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Pobieda in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces did not conduct assault operations.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 6 attacks near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hold their positions and repel the attacks of the occupying forces. Despite significant losses, Russia keeps trying to drive Ukraine's units out of their positions. Over the past day, they made 2 unsuccessful assaults.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers actively inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian occupying forces, depleting them along the entire front line.

Attacks on Ukraine’s territory

In total, Russia launched 6 missile strikes, 92 air strikes, and 110 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.

At night, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Information regarding this attack is being clarified.

Russian air strikes targeted 24 settlements across Ukraine. 

Over 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 11 Russian personnel concentrations 

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 9 Russian personnel concentrations.

Ukrainian missile troops struck 2 concentrations of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment, 1 control point, 1 ground control station of UAVs.

• In the evening of February 26, the Russian army launched several groups of Shaheds at the territory of Ukraine and attacked the eastern regions with missiles. A drone and two missiles were shot down in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
