Aviation expert and analyst Kostiantyn Kryvolap shared this on Espreso TV.

"Regarding the possibility of striking Valdai, in 2022 there were about two air defense systems protecting Valdai. The Kremlin was counting on 'Kyiv in three days,' 'Ukraine in two weeks,' 'Ukrainian leadership will flee,' so why place more anti-aircraft missile systems around Putin's residence? To understand the difference, there are now 14 such systems. We don't really fly there much because it's far, and within half a day they can figure out where our drones are heading, and Putin has time to hide, as he is very attentive to his own security," Kryvolap commented.

The analyst noted that we don't need to focus on Valdai, where Putin doesn't visit that often, because we have plenty of other tasks - destroying Russian military-industrial complex facilities.

  • On December 29, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed that on the night of December 28-29, Ukraine allegedly attacked Vladimir Putin's residence in the Novgorod region with 91 strike drones.
