Poland to collaborate with Ukraine on drone production, says PM
Poland will work with Ukraine on the development of drones and their adaptation to current battlefield conditions
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk made the announcement, Ukrinform reports.
According to Tusk, relying solely on the purchase of conventional weapons is no longer sufficient.
"The battlefield is evolving every month before our eyes. We will also collaborate with Ukrainians who are prepared for intensive cooperation, particularly in areas like drones, ensuring that the Polish army is equipped with modern technology that can be adapted to current battlefield needs in months, not years," stated the Polish Prime Minister.
He also mentioned that Poland will continue fulfilling the previously signed agreements with the United States and South Korea to acquire conventional weapons. However, the country will also focus on modern solutions, including acquiring non-conventional weapons and ensuring a "nuclear umbrella" over the nation.
- On March 6, during a special parliamentary speech, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that efforts were underway to prepare for large-scale military exercises.
