Reuters reported the information.

“NATO will conduct even more enhanced vigilance with new multi-domain assets in the Baltic Sea region,” the Alliance stated.

According to the report, these assets include "intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance platforms and at least one air-defence frigate".

A NATO representative added that they will not disclose which countries are providing the additional assets.

The outlet noted that these new assets will strengthen the Baltic Sentry mission, launched in January after a series of incidents in which undersea power cables, telecommunications lines, and pipelines were damaged. As part of the operation, Alliance countries have already deployed frigates, patrol aircraft, and maritime drones to protect critical infrastructure.

  • Recently, Denmark has repeatedly closed Aalborg Airport due to suspicious objects in the sky.
  • On the night of Saturday, September 27, drones were spotted near several military sites. Denmark’s defense command is working with police to monitor drones in these areas.
