The head of Russia’s ruling party United Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, tried to mock the U.S. president’s remarks. Trump had recently said that he sent nuclear submarines to Russia’s coast.

“New episode of the thriller series ‘Nuclear Subs for Posts on X.’ Trump once again brought up the subs he allegedly 'sent to the Russian shores,' insisting they are ‘very well hidden.’ As the saying goes, it’s hard to find a black cat in a dark room — especially if it’s not there,” Medvedev wrote.

During a speech at a Marine Corps base in Virginia on September 30, Trump said he told Russian dictator Vladimir Putin that he “doesn’t look good,” and called Russia’s Security Council head Dmitry Medvedev “stupid.”

“Russia threatened us a little while ago. And I sent nuclear submarines — the deadliest weapons ever created. I did this because of his (Medvedev's) mention of the word 'nuclear'... He is a stupid man who works for Putin. And I sent a submarine or two to the Russian coast. Just as a precaution. We cannot allow people to throw that word around left and right,” Trump said.
