Kherson residents urged to carry scissors to fight off Russian drones
In Kherson, residents are being urged to carry scissors to cut fiber optic cables that may be connected to Russian drones appearing on the city’s streets
Kherson City Council member Oksana Pohomiy said this on Espreso TV.
“Unfortunately, nothing has improved in Kherson. The hunt continues, and the enemy is getting more sophisticated,” Pohomiy emphasized.
According to the city council member, there is serious discussion in the city about the need to carry small scissors.
“When you see fiber optic cables—which can be spotted in some areas of the city, even in the center—it’s a good idea to have scissors with you, just in case, to cut them. After all, there could be a drone at the other end of the wire that hasn’t activated yet and is waiting for someone to approach. That’s our reality,” Pohomiy explained.
On Sunday, June 22, the invading Russian army shelled Kherson with artillery, resulting in the death of a man in the Dniprovskyi district of the city.
