The Atesh partisan movement reported the information.

According to the movement, on Tuesday, January 20, the Russian forces showed heightened activity in Simferopol. In particular, mass checkpoints were conducted on the city's ring roads with the participation of military personnel and police.

Additionally, large-scale movements of military equipment were recorded, including columns of the Russian National Guard. Enemy helicopters were spotted in the airspace above the city.

"Their abnormal and panicked behavior is most likely connected to the recent successful strikes by Ukrainian Defense Forces on military facilities in Crimea," Atesh noted.

  • Last week, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian radar station and anti-aircraft missile system in Crimea.
