French Mirage-2000 jets help repel massive Russian attack on Ukraine for first time

The Ukrainian Air Force reported the information.

The military stated that the Russian air assault was countered by anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

“Fighter aviation was also engaged, including F-16 and Mirage-2000 aircraft. It is worth noting that the French fighters, which arrived in Ukraine just a month ago, took part in repelling an enemy air attack for the first time,” the Air Force reported.

• On the evening of Thursday, March 6, the Russian army launched drones against Ukraine. Overnight on March 7, Russia targeted energy and gas infrastructure with missiles. Injuries were reported in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
