The Dutch Ministry of Defense shared the information.
Dutch F-35 jets have been on duty in Poland since September 1, and were credited with shooting down Russian drones during a strike on the night of September 10. The new systems will further strengthen air defenses and protect key logistics hubs supporting Ukraine, the ministry said, without specifying the locations.
German Patriot systems are currently deployed in Rzeszów, helping monitor the airspace during Russia’s ongoing drone and missile attacks on Ukraine.
- Russian drones carried out a massive strike on Poland overnight September 9–10 — the first such attack in the country’s modern history. Poland reportedly requested additional air defense capabilities from its allies following the unprecedented incursion.
