Drones strike Russian port on Taman peninsula, damaging ships, pipeline
Overnight on December 22, drone attacks damaged a pipeline at a port terminal, two berths, and two ships in the town of Volna in Russia's Krasnodar region
The operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region reported the information.
The Tamanneftegaz oil complex is located near the port. The targeted facilities are approximately 270 kilometers from the combat zone in Ukraine.
According to the Russian side, all crew members of the vessels were evacuated, and there were allegedly no casualties among workers on shore. At the same time, Russia denies information about a drone hitting a submarine.
The strikes caused fires covering an area of 1,000 to 1,500 square meters, which are still being extinguished.
Earlier, the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region reported a fire of approximately 100 square meters in the area of the marine terminal pipeline.
Late in the evening on December 21, Russia's Defense Ministry claimed that their air defense allegedly destroyed 23 drones over the Black Sea.
