62 firefights occur at front, Russian army most active in Pokrovsk sector - Ukraine's General Staff

Russian forces are attacking along almost the entire frontline. The total number of Russian offensive and assault actions has reached 62. The Pokrovsk sector recorded the highest number of combat clashes, with active airstrikes also reported in the Kharkiv sector.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian troops launched three unsuccessful assault attacks near Vovchansk and Hlyboke. Additionally, Russia conducted 14 airstrikes today, dropping 28 guided areal bombs. Eight different settlements were affected, including Vovchansk, Lyptsi, and Starytsia.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian forces are intensifying their pressure on Ukrainian defenses, attempting unsuccessfully to enhance their tactical position near Synkivka and Berestove. There have been four assault operations, half of which were successfully repelled by Ukrainian Defense Forces. Two assaults near Berestove are currently ongoing. Additionally, Russia dropped five guided aerial bombs near Kupyansk and Hlushkivka.

In the Lyman sector, near Makiivka and Nevske, Russia conducted five attacks in the past day, with two ongoing. They launched unguided aerial missiles from army aircraft near Novoyehorivka.

In the Siversk sector, Russian forces are attacking near Rozdolivka and Verkhniokamianske. The number of combat clashes has increased to three, with one ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, there have been three combat clashes since the beginning of the day. The Russian army, supported by attack aircraft, is attacking Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske. The battle is ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, Russia conducted four attacks near Pivnichne and Toretsk. The fighting is ongoing. Ukrainian troops repelled another attack near Zalizne.

The Pokrovsk sector remains the most intense area along the entire contact line. The number of Russian attacks here has increased to 24. Concentrating their efforts near Novooleksandrivka and Prohres, Russian forces are attempting to breach Ukrainian defense with the support of attack and bombing aircraft, which targeted seven different settlements. Ukrainian soldiers are holding their positions and causing significant losses to Russian forces.

In the Kurakhove sector, the number of combat clashes has increased to six. All Russian attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Paraskoviivka were successfully repelled.

In the Vremivka sector, Russian forces conducted four unsuccessful offensives near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka, and Urozhaine. Near the latter, they fired at Ukrainian positions from Ka-52 helicopters.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces attacked towards Huliaipole, but the attempt was unsuccessful.

In the Kherson sector, Tiahynka and Tokarivka were bombed.

• Over the past day, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,110 Russian soldiers. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost over 555,000 troops in Ukraine.
