Russia loses over 555,000 troops since starting war in Ukraine

Over the past day, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,110 Russian soldiers. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost over 555,000 troops in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported this on July 11.

Russia’s total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to July 11, 2024 are approximately:

  • personnel - about 555,620 (+1,110),
  • tanks - 8,182 (+2),
  • armored fighting vehicles - 15,732 (+17),
  • artillery systems - 15,110 (+59),
  • MLRS - 1,119 (+4),
  • air defense systems - 886 (+3),
  • aircraft - 361 (+0),
  • helicopters - 326 (+0),
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 12,009 (+36),
  • cruise missiles - 2,392 (+3),
  • ships/boats - 28 (+0),
  • submarines - 1 (+0) unit,
  • vehicles and fuel tanks- 20,325 (+56),
  • special equipment - 2,535 (+4).

ISW analysts believe that the invading Russian army has begun to feel the pressure of Ukrainian counterattacks. The reason for this was the arrival of Western aid to the front.
