3,000 people remain in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, as evacuations continue

As of March 5, over 3,000 people remain in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, while the total population of the community stands at around 5,000

Serhii Dobriak, head of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration, stated this.

According to Dobriak, 1,300 people are still in the town of Rodynske, part of the Pokrovsk community. He emphasized that evacuations are ongoing.

“As of today, slightly more than 3,000 people remain in Pokrovsk. Across the entire community, that number is just over 5,000, including 1,328 in Rodynske. We see people leaving every day on evacuation buses, even if slowly,” he stated.

  • Earlier, Deputy Chief of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, Major General Vadym Skibitskyi, said that Russian forces have prioritized Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, and Kupiansk as key battlegrounds. At the same time, Russia is also considering possible assaults in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
