149 combat clashes take place at Russian-Ukrainian frontline: most intense directions

There were 149 combat clashes on the Russian-Ukrainian frontline over the last day. Ukrainian army beat back 31 Russian attacks in the Kurakhove direction

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information.

Russia launched four missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using seven missiles, as well as 85 air strikes, including 160 guided bombs. In addition, 85 airstrikes, including 160 guided bombs, were carried out. The assault also involved more than 4,000 attacks, 135 of which came from multiple launch rocket systems, along with the deployment of over 1,600 kamikaze drones.

“Fourteen strikes on the Russian troops' concentration areas, weapons and military equipment were carried out by aviation, missile forces and artillery of Ukrainian Defense Forces over the last day, in addition to the damage to the command center, six air defense systems and one artillery system,” the General Staff reported.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces conducted four offensives near Tykhyi and Vovchansk.

The number of combat clashes in the Kupyansk direction reached seventeen over the last day. Ukrainian defense forces repelled Russian attacks near Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Vyshneve, Novoosynove, Zelenyi Hai and Kruhliakivka.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops stopped 18 Russian attacks. Russian forces concentrated their main efforts near Hrekivka, Andriivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Katerynivka and Torske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian military thwarted six Russian troops' attempts to advance near Minkivka, Chasiv Yar, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Bila Hora and Stupochky. The situation is under control. Russian forces acted with the support of aviation, attacking with guided bombs near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces tried to advance nine times near Toretsk, Nelipivka, Shcherbynivka and Dyliivka with the support of bombers.

Ukrainian defenders fought off 25 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction over the last day. Russian troops tried to advance near Sukha Balka, Novotoretske, Myroliubivka, Krutyi Yar, Promin, Lysivka and Sukhyi Yar. They concentrated their main efforts near Selydove where 13 firefights took place; in addition, they bombed Yablunivka, Kalynove, Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove and Chunyshyne, dropping more than a dozen guided aerial bombs.

Ukrainian defense forces are holding back Russian forces in the Kurakhove direction. In the areas of Hirnyk, Novoselydivka, Kurakhivka, Tsukuryne, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka and Antonivka, Russian troops tried to break through Ukrainian defenses 31 times. 

Ukrainian defenders halted five Russian attacks near Bohoyavlenka in the Vremivka direction.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian troops made four unsuccessful attempts to seize Ukrainian positions over the last day.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups formation were detected.

On the border with Chernihiv region, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts reconnaissance activities and artillery shelling.

Ukraine's defense forces continue operations in the Kursk direction. Russian forces conducted 11 air strikes using 22 guided bombs, and fired over 200 times during the last day.

  • Over the past 24 hours, the occupying Russian army lost 1,080 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian forces destroyed 41 Russian artillery systems and 49 drones.
