Ukraine's General Staff reports 148 combat clashes at Russian-Ukrainian frontline

Over the last day, 148 combat clashes were registered on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 38 Russian assaults

Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information as of 8:00 a.m.

According to the updated information, yesterday Russia launched one missile attack on Ukrainian positions and populated areas using one missile and 89 air strikes, including 154 KAB bombs. In addition, it conducted over 4,000 attacks, 86 of which involved multiple launch rocket systems, and engaged over 1,500 kamikaze drones.

“Over the past day, the aviation, missile troops and artillery of Ukrainian Defense Forces hit two Russian control points, three areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and five enemy artillery systems,” Ukrainian General Staff added.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops attacked nine times near Vovchansk and Tykhe. 

In the Kupyansk direction, nine attacks took place over the day. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled a Russian assault near Pishchane, Kruhliakivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Lozova, Vyshneve and Pershotravneve.

The Russian troops attacked 12 times in the Lyman direction. They tried to break into Ukrainian defenses near Hrekivka, Terny, Novomykhailivka, Torske and Serebrianka. 

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces attacked five times near Stupochky, Bila Hora and Hryhorivka.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces launched six attacks in the direction of Toretsk and Nelipivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 38 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor near Selydove, Novotoretsk, Lysivka, Sukha Balka, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Krutyi Yar, Myroliubivka, Krasnyi Yar and Mykhailivka.  The highest concentration of Russian troops' attacks was near Selydove. Russians were actively using bombers and attack aircraft.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces countered 34 attacks. Russian forces were most actively trying to advance near Katerynivka and Kreminna Balka. In addition, they attacked in the direction of Antonivka, Novodmytrivka, Novoselydivka, Kostiantynivka, Zoriane, Hostre and Dalne, and actively used aviation.

In the Vremivka direction, the Russian troops launched five attacks on the Ukrainian positions near Bohoiavlenka, Novoukrainka and Zolota Nyva. 

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders fought off one unsuccessful Russian attack during the day near Novodanylivka. 

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the invading Russian troops tried unsuccessfully four times to push Ukrainian Defense Forces units out of their positions. 

The operation in the Kursk region continues. Russian aircraft keep razing villages and towns to the ground. Over the past day, Russian aircraft conducted 38 air strikes with 55 anti-aircraft missiles on their own territory.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups formation were detected.

On the border with Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions, the Russian army is actively using artillery and aviation in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements.

  • Over the past 24 hours, the occupying Russian army lost 1,240 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian forces destroyed 108 Russian drones and 45 artillery systems.
