Military analyst reveals three areas where Russian forces will try to advance
Russian troops are trying to advance in the east from Luhansk region to Vuhledar – they have three groups for this purpose
Military analyst Oleksiy Hetman shared his opinion with Espreso TV.
"They are trying to move along the arc from Luhansk region to Vuhledar. They have three groups. One is in the Kupiansk and Lyman direction, there are about 120,000 people there. About 30,000-50,000 people are around Bakhmut. Near Vuhledar in the south, there are about 150,000 troops. These are three places where they will try to advance," he noted.
The expert added that the weather helps Ukrainians because it is impossible to advance with heavy equipment.
"Especially near Vuhledar, where the soil is a little different than in Bakhmut or Luhansk region. There is black soil there, and the equipment gets stuck, while in the north it is difficult to use heavy equipment because there are forests there. It is harder to move with IFVs and APCs because you have to drive along certain paths – not like in a field," summarized Hetman.
