An Espreso correspondent reports that the court granted the prosecutor's request for 60 days of house arrest and a bracelet.

The address of his further permanent residence was determined to be house №46 on Molodizhna Street in the village of Voronkiv, Boryspil district, Kyiv region.

The suspect must also surrender his passports and “refrain from communicating with witnesses in this criminal proceeding.”

At the same time, the Shevchenkivskiy District Court did not support the prosecutor's request to ban Pavlo from using social media so that he could not influence his audience.

The Metropolitan is suspected of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the equality of citizens based on their race, nationality, region, religious beliefs) and Part 1 of Article 436-2 (justification, denial of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

He is defended by his lawyer Oleh Povaliaiev.

Ukraine's Security Service served him with a notice of suspicion on the morning of April 1. After that, a search began at the Metropolitan's residence near Kyiv.

  • Metropolitan Pavlo was the abbot of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate monastery, which used the territory of the Kyiv Cave Monastery National Reserve.

  • The agreement was terminated on March 29.
