Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev says the countries of "old" Europe should stop supporting Ukraine and remember their imperial past

Medvedev made the statement on Telegram.

According to him, assistance to Ukraine will lead the "old" Europeans both to a drop in living standards and national humiliation.

"The first problem is the exorbitant rise in the cost of living, although, they will probably still be able to cope with it somehow. At the very least, they will bathe less often and turn off gas burners. Anything for the "victory of the mythical country 404". The second problem is much worse. National humiliation," Medvedev wrote.

He appealed to the imperial past of the "old" Europeans and accused them of being allegedly ruled by Poland and the Baltic states.

"When empires, albeit former, are manipulated by former losers, well, okay, former "great duchies" - Polish and Lithuanian - it is very humiliating. Especially for the direct descendants of the Roman Empire citizens, the Quirites. And for the descendants of the warlike Franks and Gauls," Medvedev continued.

Dmitry Medvedev warned that this would end very badly for the "old European civilization."

"It is already dissolving under the onslaught of immigrants coming from all over the world. And soon it will disappear altogether, mirroring the well-known myth about the abduction of Europa by Zeus. Only today, the role of the bull will be played by the arrogant America, eagerly served by traitors of European interests such as Poland and the Baltic states," Medvedev concluded.
