On Wednesday, March 1, the occupying Russian troops had “an unfortunate smoke break”

This was reported by the legitimate mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov.

"The memory of the occupiers of Melitopol is as short as of a perch. Almost every month, the Russian invaders forget that smoking at the Melitopol airfield is dangerous. During the year of occupation, there were hits on the bases of the Russian occupiers a dozen times. There were hits today as well," Fedorov writes.

Around 1 p.m., the Russians “an unfortunate smoke break”* in Melitopol. Half an hour later, black smoke rose over the facility.

Explosions also occurred in Polohy, Zaporizhzhia region.

*After the blasts, Ukrainian military and officials regularly encourage Russian soldiers “to quit smoking.” Usually the hits on the Russian troops and equipment are jokingly attributed to the Russian habit of smoking in unauthorised locations.
