Mandatory evacuation of civilians from Kherson can play into hands of Russian troops
First Deputy Chairman of Kherson Regional Council Yuriy Sobolevskyi reported that local authorities do not plan to organize mandatory evacuation from Kherson
He told about this live on air of the Espreso TV channel.
"Today, it is premature to carry out mandatory evacuation of civilian population from Kherson. I want to note that it is precisely such decisions that the enemy expects from us. It is fundamental for them to show that Ukrainian authorities cannot normally ensure life in the communities in liberated territories. This is their reaction to the fact that they were defeated in Kherson," Sobolevskyi explained.
The Deputy Chairman of Kherson Regional Council also said that Russians are continuing to force residents of occupied territories to get Russian passports .
"Russians continue to pressure and persecute our people in temporarily occupied territories. Now Russians are once again intensifying measures to force people to get Russian passports. In temporarily occupied territories, Russians completely destroyed Ukrainian financial structure of payments and withdrew hryvnia from circulation," he added.
