For context, the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after King Danylo, is a military unit within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It operates under the operational command "West" and is dedicated to King Danylo, a significant medieval ruler and commander.
Since the onset of Russian aggression in 2014, brigade units have been engaged in various warfronts in the east. The brigade's fighters were also active during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
