Lukashenko demands security guarantees for Belarus at meeting with Shoigu
On Monday, April 10, self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko met with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in Minsk to demand security guarantees for the country

Lukashenko told Shoigu that Minsk needed guarantees that in case of external aggression, Russia would defend Belarus as its own territory.
The meeting of officials was previously reported by the BELTA media.
As noted, the Russian Defense Minister arrived in the Belarusian capital to build on recent agreements between the heads of state.
“When we were saying goodbye after the last talks with Vladimir Vladimirovich (Putin - ed.), we agreed that you and your experts would come to Belarus and we would sit down with you to discuss the security of Belarus. You know, I have already raised this issue. But before that, we discussed this issue with Vladimir Vladimirovich,” Lukashenko said.
