Lithuania will lobby for more weapons for Ukraine, including F-16s

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis has assured that he will lobby for more weapons, munitions, and Western fighter jets for Ukraine

He said this at a press conference in Odesa, according to European Pravda

“We will support you until you win – that is our unbreakable commitment. We will support your path to NATO – your place is in NATO, your place is with us in NATO,” Landsbergis said.

He emphasized that Lithuania will continue to support the establishment of a special tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression.

“We will lobby and advocate for more weapons and ammunition, including the F-16s you need,” Landsbergis said.

“There can be no doubt that the Nordic and Baltic countries fully support Ukraine. Today we're in Odesa to discuss global food security and make it clear to Ukrainians that our freedom is your freedom, your battle is our battle,” he tweeted.

On April 28, at the invitation of Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, a meeting of the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) took place in Odesa. Odesa was visited by the foreign ministers of Latvia, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, and the undersecretary of state of the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“I was glad to welcome in Odesa NB8 colleagues from Latvia, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Strong solidarity with Ukraine, continued support for our initiatives to strengthen economic flow in the Black Sea region and ensure global food security,” Kuleba wrote.
