Arvydas Anušauskas, Lithuanian Minister of Defense, said this on Twitter.
"If Russia is planning to place Iranian missiles near the northern border of Ukraine, then the need for anti-missile defense systems is even bigger in the whole region. As well as the need for economic sanctions against the Iranian regime", he emphasized.
Earlier, Lithuanian Defense Minister noted that two PzH2000 howitzers are already on their way to Ukraine after repair. In addition, the country stated that it will provide winter clothing and equipment to Ukrainian Armed Forces, allocate additional funds for material support for 2023, provide 120-mm mortars on platform 113, armored vehicles, thermal imagers and drones.
