Lithuania to repair damaged Leopard tanks from Ukraine

Lithuania is teaming up with German experts to fix Leopard tanks that got damaged during the fighting in Ukraine

This news comes from the Lithuanian Army's press service.

The press release states that the Lithuanian army, with help from the German defense industry, will repair Leopard tanks that were brought from Ukraine's battlefields. Once they're fixed up, these tanks will go back into action.

This effort helps train Lithuanian personnel and keeps them ready. It also ensures that the logistics for the tanks are working smoothly and provides ongoing support to Ukraine.

Lithuania has already repaired and sent back self-propelled howitzers PzH2000 to Ukraine. These howitzers were used in combat by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In Lithuania, the first group of 18 Ukrainian mechanics finished their training on howitzer repairs. They were taught by Lithuanian experts. This training is important because it helps maintain the skills needed to repair equipment during combat.

The report mentions that Lithuania is putting together support packages for Ukraine. These packages take into account Ukraine's most critical needs and priorities.
