Lithuania sends 7 armored vehicles, other equipment to Ukraine
Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas reports on sending 7 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 armored SUVs and other equipment to Ukraine
He wrote about this on Twitter.
“More support to Ukraine. The Lithuanian Armed Forces sent 7 armored SUVs "Toyota Land Cruiser 200" and other equipment to Ukraine,” he tweeted.
The Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, Valdemaras Rupšys, previously stated that he would propose not to transfer PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers and NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine, as the country's capabilities are "at the limit".
Later, the head of the National Security and Defense Committee, Kasciunas, noted that now it is necessary to find a middle ground between supporting Ukraine and preserving and strengthening Lithuania's national capabilities. He noted that this support can be done through other things.
According to the politician, about EUR 50 million are planned to be allocated in the defense budget of Lithuania to support Ukrainians. Because of this, different forms of support for Ukraine can be found.
