This was reported by the Organization of Ukrainian Producers on Facebook.

Actor Liev Schreiber voiced the Against All Odds: The Failure Of Russia's Blitzkrieg documentary. For the work on the film, Schreiber did not ask for money, but for the consent of the film's producers to use the documentary as a fundraising tool for Ukraine.

“This deeply touched everyone - the director Artem Lytvynenko and all the producers. After all, it means that our values coincide with the values of millions of people in many countries of the world. This gives us great hope,” the executive producer of Against All Odds Ihor Storchak said.

According to the producer, Schreiber was as involved as possible in the process. He recently visited Kyiv and saw everything with his own eyes, so he has an impression and understanding of what he reads about in this movie. At the same time, the actor maintains neutrality in the presentation of the text, without imposing his emotions and experiences on the viewer.

“I reacted to the simple, clear chronology of the invasion. It was hard to believe that in our lifetime we would witness a land war. Therefore, watching its evolution in vivid detail is an invaluable reminder of the fragility of our democracy and the fury with which Ukrainians defend their own,” Schreiber commented on the work on the film.

The voiceover of the film was recorded at Mirrortone Studios (New York). The studio team, as noted by the producers, "with great enthusiasm" joined the work.

“We wanted to help Ukrainians tell their story about the war of aggression waged by Russia,” Jay Rothman, the producer and sound designer of Mirrortone Studios said. “If we can somehow help, give a voice to people in Ukraine who are fighting for their right to exist, we will make our contribution. It was a great honor for us that the directors asked us to participate.”

Work on the documentary is currently being completed. The premiere is scheduled for 2023.

  • Liev Schreiber was one of the first to support Ukraine after Russia's full-scale invasion. The actor immediately arrived in Lviv, where he joined the volunteers.

  • Schreiber spoke with Ukrainian psychologist Olena Kossak and urged Ukrainians to turn to psychologists for help.

  • The actor also spent some time in Przemyśl, where he prepared Ukrainian borscht for refugees together with the World Central Kitchen.

  • On July 6, 2022, Liev Schreiber became the ambassador of the United24 fundraising platform.
