Liberate Kherson to end war before winter - Piontkovsky

"The Russians had a shock reaction to one strike on one airfield. And the capture of Kherson is a real military task that can be solved in a month or two. Therefore, I agree with the assessment of the Ukrainian leadership. But this is not an assessment or a forecast, rather the order to end the war before winter. For this, it will be enough to take Kherson. The Russian leadership will do everything left itself," Piontkovsky emphasized.

The political scientist also added that the explosions at the military airfield near Sakami caused a shock in the Kremlin.

"You have seen the Russian mass media, the Russian leadership. They still adhere to the version that there was an unexpected explosion of ammunition. This has already changed public opinion. It is no coincidence that the Ukrainian leadership recently set the task of ending the war before winter. Because this reaction of shock, fear, horror from the strike in Crimea proved to me, and it is already obvious to the whole world, that the liberation of Kherson will mean the fall of Putin's regime," Piontkovsky emphasized.
