The governor of Russia's Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported this on Telegram.
"As a result of the sunny weather (the lens effect worked), ammunition spontaneously ignited in the area of the village of Tymonovo, which the sappers did not have time to defuse", he explained.
According to him, no one was injured. For security reasons, the head of the Valuysky District evacuated the residents of Tymonovo to the "Krasnaya Polyana" sanatorium, and some of the villagers left with their relatives to other settlements.
