Lavrov gets aggressive when EU’s Borrell calls to withdraw Russian troops from Ukraine
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has aggressively responded to EU top diplomat Josep Borrell's call to withdraw troops from Ukraine
This is reported by The Guardian.
According to Borrell, during the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) summit, he called on Lavrov to withdraw Russian troops from Ukraine and received an aggressive response.
"Lavrov responded [to] me very aggressively and explained his point of view, saying everything is a ‘west conspiracy’ and the war will continue … as Russia is not at all ready to stop the aggression and withdraw troops," he said.

On June 7, Sergei Lavrov said that the F-16 aircraft that may be supplied to Ukraine are allegedly capable of carrying nuclear weapons. In response, White House National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby advised withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine and assured that the United States opposes any escalation, including nuclear.
