Kremlin reacts to possible delivery of US tanks to Ukraine
Russian president’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov says that American Abrams tanks will not help Ukraine in the war against Russia
Russian media reported the statement.
This is how Dmitry Peskov reacted to the information that US President Joe Biden expressed his readiness to send about 30 Abrams tanks to Ukraine.
"I am convinced that many experts realize the absurdity of this idea. From a technological point of view, it's a pretty bad plan, and, most importantly, it's a clear overestimation of the potential that this will add to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is another rather deep mistake," Peskov said.
He added that Abrams tanks are expensive, which allegedly "will fall primarily on the shoulders of European taxpayers, and the Americans, as always, will at the very least keep their money, and most likely make more."
