President Zelenskyy shared this information in a social media post.
He made the statement after meeting with Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s military intelligence agency.
“We are observing a continued intellectual decline within the Russian leadership and have evidence that they are preparing new military operations on European territory,” the president wrote.
He added that Ukraine will share these intelligence findings with its partners.
"We are preparing joint decisions for defense, in particular with the United Kingdom and the European Union," Zelenskyy added.
- In February, President Zelenskyy said Russia would prepare 15 divisions this year, based entirely or partly in Belarus. From there, they could attack NATO countries.
- In April, he said Russia was “preparing something” in Belarus for the summer, disguised as military exercises.
- Finnish intelligence also warned that Russia might attack Finland once the war in Ukraine ends.
- The Bild, citing its own sources, reported that if there is a ceasefire in Ukraine in the coming months, Russia could attack Lithuania or Poland, likely using planned military exercises in Belarus as cover.
