Kosovo joins G7 declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine
The Republic of Kosovo joined the G7 Declaration of Support for Ukraine, which was adopted at the NATO summit in Vilnius
Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti informs about this.
"The Republic of Kosovo joins the G7 Declaration of Support for Ukraine. Ensuring victory for Ukraine—and holding Russia's leaders accountable for their crimes—is essential to the preservation of peace and democracy," the statement said.
Kurti emphasized that the country is ready to contribute to security guarantees for Ukraine.

Declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine
On Wednesday, July 12, the G7 nations agreed on a shared statement, outlining promises of safety for Ukraine. Anyone can agree to this. US President Joe Biden said the statement shows that they will help Ukraine now and in the future.
On the same day, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden also said yes to the statement. Later, Spain, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Portugal also joined.
On July 18, during a talk at the UN General Assembly, Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, said that Kyiv wants all UN countries to think about joining the Group of Seven promise for Ukraine's safety.
On July 25, Romania decided to say yes to the G7 countries' statement in support of Ukraine. This was on the agenda during the NATO summit in Vilnius.
On August 3, it was reported that Ukraine started discussing safety guarantees with the United States.
Great Britain was the next country Ukraine talked to about a special deal for safety guarantees. Discussions started on August 11.
On August 12, Greece became the 14th country to support Ukraine through the G7 Vilnius statement.
On August 15, North Macedonia also said yes to the G7 nations' promise of safety for Ukraine.
On Wednesday, August 16, the Council of Ministers of Bulgaria agreed that Bulgaria will be a part of the G7 statement on safety promises for Ukraine.
On August 17, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia joined the declaration by the G7 countries.
On August 18, it was announced that 25 countries have now agreed to the G7 declaration.
