This was stated by sociologist and ex-deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the opposition Yabloko party Igor Yakovenko on the air of Espreso TV.

According to the politician, there is no consensus between Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and founder of the Wagner Group Yevgeny Prigozhin, and each of them plays their game. According to the opposition leader, the ex-commander of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation, Alexander Lapin, is one of the most evident and apparent victims. He also added that he does not believe in the accident of the recent death of the Federal Drug Control Service head and FSB general Viktor Cherkesov, who started his political career with Russian President Vladimir Putin, when he was healthy and not old.

"General Cherkesov is a person who described the power situation in Russia, that they, the Chekists, managed to hang Russia on the Chekist hook. Yes, this is the famous Chekist hook, he said that Chekists are new nobles. It was quite a loud story. This is a very close person to Putin, who just died. I'm not sure this is a crime story, but the showdowns continue," the politician said.

Also, Igor Yakovenko does not believe that the gauleiter of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov died in an accident.

"I somehow can't believe that this happened, I think that just such figures are scandalous, by the way, Stremousov - this was a clear example of an incredible personnel shortage for gauleiters, an indicator that there were too few traitors in Ukraine. This was an extraordinary story when there were very few traitors in a country where 20% of the territory was occupied. Very few, so it was a difficult choice, in this sense, the Ukrainians very seriously let Putin down. These are only a few people. Stremousov, a caricature figure, has already begun to simply interfere with his pathological stupidity, scandalous outrage and great activity. I believe that he was removed by his own people. Although, in general, others could have. The fate of traitors is always difficult," he stressed.
