Kirill Stremousov dies in Kherson region
The occupation "deputy head" of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, has died in a road accident
This is reported by the Russian media.
Stremousov's death was confirmed by a collaborator, Ekaterina Gubareva.
Russian media, citing Stremousov's driver, report that the collaborator died near Henichesk.
Later, Volodymyr Saldo, the Gauleiter of the Kherson Region, confirmed the death of Stremousov in a video message.
Yuriy Sobolevskyi, the first deputy chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, said in a comment to Suspilne that the information about Streymousov's death has not been confirmed, and suggested the possibility of staging.
Kiril Stremousov, born in 1976. in 2013, he was one of the organizers of the "Thank you for the victory" run under the flags of Russian far-right organizations, as well as the organizer of the pro-Russian rally in Kherson on March 1, 2014.
In 2017, Streymousov beat a policeman and broke into the Kherson mayor's office with other people, after which they forcibly took him out into the street and knocked him down on the sidewalk.
On April 5, 2018, in Kherson, Ukrainian Security Service's employees were attacked by people who were trying to free the captain of the "Nord" vessel arrested in the Sea of Azov. Kateryna Handzyuk, manager of city hall affairs, reported that Kiril Stremousov was the leader of the attackers.
On May 21, 2018, Stremousov broke into the territory of the commercial beach and attacked the security guard, shooting him with a traumatic pistol.
In April 2019, Stryemousov and a group of people tried to recapture Serhey Osminin, a participant in the occupation of Crimea and a "deputy" of the occupied "city council" of Yevpatoria from Yedinaya Rossiya (United Russia), detained at the demarcation line by the Ukrainian Security Service.
In June 2020, Streymousov and other people attacked Dmytro Bahnenko, a journalist from Kherson.
On August 20, 2020, the Security Service of Ukraine, as part of the investigation of the Russian FSB agent network in the Kherson region, conducted a search of Stremousov.
In addition, Streymousov spread Russian propaganda about "fascism in Ukraine" and "US biological laboratories" and blamed the Ukrainian authorities for the spread of COVID-19.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, Streymousov resorted to cooperation with the occupiers: on March 16, 2022, in the building of the Kherson Regional Council, he led an illegal meeting of the occupation administration together with collaborators from the "Committee of Salvation for Peace and Order"
On March 17, 2022, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case against Streymousov in the criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (providing assistance to a foreign state in carrying out subversive activities against Ukraine committed under martial law).
During the occupation, Stremousov threatened pro-Ukrainian people with Russian imprisonment.
Later, leaflets about a reward of half a million hryvnias for Streymousov's head appeared en masse in Kherson, after which the collaborator fled to temporarily occupied Donetsk.
