Ukrainian army destroys 6 Russian tanks, 27 artillery systems, 770 servicemen overnight - General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 2022 to March 26, 2024 were approximately:

• personnel - about 438,160 (+770),
• tanks - 6,893 (+6)
• armored combat vehicles - 13,207 (+24)
• artillery systems - 10,904 (+27)
• MLRS - 1,019 (+1)
• air defense systems - 727 (+1) 
• aircraft - 347 (+0)

• UAVs of operational and tactical level - 8,553 (+14)
• cruise missiles - 2,014 (+4)

Frontline situation: Russian army attacked in 6 areas, mostly in the Novopavlivka and Lyman sectors

Thus, according to the General Staff, the operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled one enemy attack near Ivanivka, Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 15 Russian attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Terny, Yampolivka, Rozdolivka, and north of Vesele, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian attacks near Berdychi and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian army near Novomykhailivka, where the invaders tried to break through the defense 22 times.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russia attacked the Ukrainian positions 4 times near Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region; southwest of Bilohirsk and northwest of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson sector, Russia has not abandoned its intention to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. However, it did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions over the past day.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers are actively inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the invading Russian forces, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.

Ukrainian forces hit 10 Russian concentration areas; Russia attacks Ukraine with drones, missiles, and aircraft

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 9 Russian military positions.

Missile troops destroyed 1 air defense system, 1 artillery system, 1 electronic warfare station, 1 personnel concentration area, and 1 UAV control station.

In total, over the past day, Russia launched 4 missile strikes, 59 airstrikes, and 106 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops’ positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population.

At night, Russian troops once again attacked Ukraine using 12 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed all the attack UAVs.

Over the past day, the following localities were hit by air strikes: Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Popivka, and Iskryskivka in the Sumy region; Derhachi, Vovchanski Khutory, Starytsia, and Budarky in the Kharkiv region; Makiivka in the Luhansk region; Terny, Yampolivka, Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, Druzhba, Pivdenne, Oleksandropil, Arkhanhelske, Berdychi, Semenivka, Memryk, Ocheretyne, Umanske, Novomykhailivka, Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Urozhaine, and Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region; Novodanilivka and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region; Chervonyi Maiak, Zmiivka, and Mykilske in the Kherson region.

More than 120 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

• On the night of March 26, Russia attacked Ukraine's territory in the east and south. There were explosions in Kharkiv.
