Russian army loses aircraft, 42 artillery systems and 1,240 soldiers in one day of war in Ukraine

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on May 24.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from 24.02.22 to 24.05.24 are approximately:

• personnel - about 498,940 (+1,240) people,
• tanks - 7,635 (+13) units
• armored combat vehicles - 14,775 (+27) 
• artillery systems - 12,902 (+42) 
• MLRS - 1,080 (+3) 
• air defense systems - 813 (+0)
• aircraft - 356 (+1)
• helicopters - 326 (+0)
• UAVs of operational and tactical level - 10,401 (+10) 
• cruise missiles - 2,209 (+0) 
• ships/boats - 27 (+0)
• submarines - 1 (+0)
• motor vehicles and fuel tankers - 17,569 (+56) 
• special equipment - 2,101 (+7).

Since the beginning of the day, 88 combat clashes have taken place on the frontline. The number of combat clashes in the Kupyansk sector reached 20 over the last day.
